To mark the first year of IZU DAO, every exchange inside the venue — food, drinks, workshops — runs on IZU POINT, a community point that makes “thank you” visible.
What is IZU DAO?
A community where travellers, residents and workers go beyond boundaries to grow Izu together. It began in Shimoda in November 2025, and since then people have been passing small acts of help around town — beach cleanups, grass cutting, swapping leftover food. Locals, new residents, nomads and travellers alike: not tourism, not relocation, but a new way to take part — by getting involved.

A community point you receive as a “thank you” when you help someone. You get it by lending a hand — cleaning, grass cutting and more — and use it at local spots for things like end-of-day bento, unsold fish or coworking time. Open a wallet on LINE and you can start right away.

Over its first year, IZU DAO has passed “thank you”s around town — at the DAO Farm, cleaning the pond, at the IZU DAO STORE. On this day, the whole venue runs on them. Sing, post, share an idea or bring a bottle, and you receive IZU POINT to use on food, drinks and workshops from around the world.

- Share an idea for IZU DAO
- Write your IZU DAO story on the message board
- Bring drinks for the IZU DAO Bar, or things for the IZU DAO Farm

First time with IZU POINT? No problem — even without LINE, and in English, we will show you how to join at the venue. Coming to the TADAIMA Mirai Kaigi the day before? You can open your IZU POINT wallet (on LINE) there and use the points here the next day.
IZU POINT is a community point for use within the region. It cannot be exchanged for money or crypto assets.
